More
Arts & Culture strategy
We support creative projects and organisations that aim to foster access, engagement and experience in the arts.
We fund projects or organisations that help us achieve our mission - enhancing the lives of peoples in the communities of Auckland and Northland.
Examples include:
- Innovative art and cultural projects, including public art works or programmes that aim to improve access, engagement and experience in the arts and cultural opportunities for the community
- Operational support at either a local, regional or national level
- Seed funding: although we prefer community groups to have been operational for 12 months, we will consider new or emerging organisations that are operating under the guidance of a legally constituted umbrella organisation
- We supporting initiatives or projects that raise awareness and increase wider community participation in the arts and cultural sector
- Facilities such as buildings and halls, including building upgrades, are considered under our Capital Funding and Community Facilities budget.
A short interview that explains what we look for in an Arts and Culture application.
Our thanks to Triangle Television for all the video production work.
