Learning strategy
We support projects that improve educational outcomes for people in our region by adding value to the sector, with a focus on innovative projects and lifelong learning.
You can apply for funding under the following catagories:
Learning Communities Partnership Fund
Our Learning Communities Partnership Fund supports projects and organisations that are strengthening education partnerships in the community.
We want our funds to make a difference to the people and communities of Auckland and Northland and we want to fund projects that fit our education strategy. We want to hear about projects where communities are finding innovative ways to meet education needs.
Applications will be assessed against how well they meet the following criteria:
Engagement: how will the project improve educational outcomes in our communities?
Project management: how will the project be managed? Is there a clear vision, supported by a sound project plan and budget?
Evaluation: how will the outcomes be measured?
Exit strategy: how will the project be sustained after the Trust's grant is spent?
If you're planning to apply for funding under the learning communities partnership fund, please contact our grants advisors to discuss your project. Phone (09) 360 0291, 0800 272 878, or email us

What we don't fund
We don't fund areas that are the responsibility of government and, in line with our strategy, we don’t fund external providers to deliver into schools programmes or resources that are part of the core Ministry of Education curriculum. For example, we don't provide funding for classroom equipment or ICT suites.
We're happy to answer any questions. Please contact on of our Grants Advisors on (09) 360 0291, freephone 0800 272 878, or email
