Heritage strategy

 

We support projects and organisations that preserve and promote the physical and cultural heritage of our region.
 

 
We fund projects or organisations that will help us achieve our mission: enhancing the lives of peoples in the communities of Auckland and Northland. Please note that facilities such as buildings and halls, including building upgrades, are considered under our Capital Funding and Community Facilities budget.

Funding examples include:

  • Buildings and land of historical importance, provided it is listed with the Historic Places Trust or the Territorial Local Authority
  • Movable culutral property
  • Historical records that document the history of the Auckland and Northland regions for the benefit of the community
