The Trust recognises the importance of funding large scale projects that will benefit the communities of Auckland and Northland. For capital projects the organisation is required to have raised the first 50% (excluding borrowing). Please note that raising this first 50% does not automatically secure funding from the Trust.

Before you send in an application, please contact one of our Grants Advisors to discuss your proposal. They can give you an overview of  what the Trust funds and advice on what parts of your project fit best with our funding focus.

You may be asked to send a short letter of intent, which needs to include:

  • The name and contact details of your organisation
  • A brief description of your organisation
  • The purpose of the project - i.e. what will the funding be used for?
  • How the community will benefit from this project
  • The budget for the project. This will include the total cost, how much you are requesting from the Trust, funds already raised and how the balance will be raised to complete the project
  • A timeline for the project, including when you intend to start.
