Community Wellbeing  

The Trust will support community wellbeing organisations that respond to the needs identified by our communities, with a focus on innovative programmes that address the underlying causes of social problems.

If you are applying for funding for a new project, or you have never applied to ASB Community Trust before, it is important that you talk to us before filling in an application form. This includes applicants who are considering applying for funding for a Minor Building Project.

What we fund

Operating Costs

The Trust will consider funding for community organisations which are responding to the needs of our communities and working to address the underlying causes of social problems. Funding of up to 10% of total operating costs will be considered.

Minor Building Projects

If you are applying for funding for a Minor Building Project it is important that you talk to us before filling in an application form.

Housing Innovation Partnership Funding

The Trust will not be considering grants for Housing Innovation Partnership Funding in the 2011/12 financial year.

Community Housing Projects

The purpose of this fund is to support community organisations delivering innovative pilot projects aiming to prevent or solve homelessness, or the need for emergency housing.

What we don't fund

  • Operating costs at both a local and regional level
  • Staff vehicles
  • External providers to deliver programmes or resources into schools that can be regarded as part of the delivery of the core Ministry of Education curriculum
  • The Trust will generally not fund items or areas that could reasonably be expected to be provided by central government agencies.
