The Trust will consider funding for community organisations which are responding to the needs of our communities and working to address the underlying causes of social problems.
Funding of up to 10% of total operating costs will be considered.
Funding will be considered for costs relating to:

Operating costs

Equipment
-
Website
-
Capacity building
-
Volunteer costs
-
Programme costs
Organisations that have annual expenditure of $500,000 or more will only be eligible for up to $50,000.
Assessment of applications will take into consideration:

Fit with the Trust’s strategic objectives and priorities

Collaboration initiatives undertaken with other groups to improve outcomes
-
Demonstrate need
-
Capacity to deliver
-
A focus on innovation and prevention
-
That the grant will help develop or strengthen good practice.
Additional information
In addition to the checklist on page five on the application form, please provide:

Your most recent Annual Report/AGM reports

Your latest newsletter and/or pamphlets which provide details of the services provided by your organisation

Any collated evaluation information you have for your organisation that shows the outcomes achieved by your clients

Two letters of support from community organisations that you work with and recent statistics for your organisation (ie client numbers)

An outline of any fees for services or programmes charged to clients.
If your organisation is providing counselling services or services to youth, we also require:

Details of the professional qualifications of staff and which membership agency staff are affiliated to (i.e. NZAC)
Services to Youth (age 12-24)

Evidence of research and best practice guidelines used (ie Youth Development Strategy Aotearoa)

Evidence that your organisation includes young people in the decision making (ie during programme development, implementation and evaluation)
The Trust does not fund

Staff vehicles
-
External providers to deliver programmes or resources into schools that can be regarded as part of the delivery of the core Ministry of Education curriculum

Organisations from the same affiliation that apply for funding assistance for local operational costs and regional operational costs.
