We support projects and organisations that protect and enhance the environment in which we live

If you are applying for funding for a new project, or you have never applied to ASB Community Trust before, it is important that you talk to us before filling in an application form.

Funding criteria - find out who can apply

Our funding areas

General Support

The Trust will consider general funding for operating costs and project costs.

Cultivation

The Trust will consider funding for organisations who can in turn provide support to smaller projects and organisations.

Sustainability

The Trust will consider funding to encourage sustainability throughout the not-for-profit sector

Minor Building Projects

The Trust will consider funding minor building projects - up to a maximum of $50,000 - where there is a demonstrable environmental benefit.

Areas the Trust does not fund

  • Legal costs
  • Activities seen to be the responsibility of central and local government
  • Initiatives for private landowners on private land (with the exception of Nga Whenua Rahui legal agreements)
  • Ongoing consultant costs
  • Landscaping
  • Educational resources for schools
