Environment - Cultivation
We recognise that the Environment sector is characterised by a large number of voluntary organisations who make a valuable contribution to the sector.
In order to assist volunteer groups to manage their administrative requirements, we will consider funding for umbrella or lead sector organisations that enable local volunteer organisations to operate more effectively.
Funding will be considered for the umbrella or lead sector organisations to provide:
- administrative responsibilities
- audited accounts and audit report
- business planning for financial sustainability
- co-ordination, recruitment and retention of volunteers
- long term planning and/or service or programme development
- liaison and collaboration with relevant organisations
- individual project costs
Assessment
Priority will be given to organisations with:
- a proven track record in the environment sector
- good internal procedures
- the capacity to provide appropriate assistance
