  In an innovative first for the Trust, we've joined forces with on-line arts hub The Big Idea to start an open discussion with the community about our long-term funding policy.

  After eight years in the role, well-known Northlander Kevin Prime’s term as a Trustee for ASB Community Trust has ended.

  ASB Community Trust has announced a grants budget of $23.7m for the 2010 financial year.

  The Trust is to hold a meeting for Northland community groups on September 5, 2009.

  A grant of more than half a million dollars will help Surf Lifesaving Northern Region provide strategic support for rescue services in the region.

  The Trust was surprised and delighted by an overwhelming community response after the call went out for expressions of interest in the initiative.

• Trustee appointments confirmed
  Long-standing board member and Trust deputy chairman Pat Snedden has finished his term at the Trust.

April 2008

• Eden Park grant announced

ASB Community Trust is to make a $6.5m grant toward the rebuild of Eden Park, in time for the Rugby World Cup, and to assure its future as an important multi-sport facility for the region.

• Measuring our carbon footprint

As part of our commitment to the environment, the Trust has launched a project to measure our carbon footprint and look at ways to minimise it.

Community funder ASB Community Trust has set up a significant fund for education projects that will promote Maori and Pasifika educational excellence. It is now calling for expressions of interest from groups who share its vision for the Auckland and Northland region.

Northland’s rescue helicopter service has its lifeline – community funder ASB Community Trust has granted $360,000 to help keep the choppers in the air.
