Funding fair Dates set for public meetings

The Trust will hold its annual public meeting and funding fair in Auckland on Monday, 1 August.

Time: 1pm-3.30pm

The meeting will be held at Eden Park’s ASB Lounge, starting at 1.00pm. It will include a presentation of the Trust’s results for the year, an overview of plans for the year ahead and a briefing on funding priorities and policies.
Trustees and staff will be available to answer questions and to discuss project proposals with guests.
The public meeting will be followed by a funding fair, where community organisations can learn more about accessing grants and resources.

Funding fair

Key funding and support agencies will be present, including:

  • Auckland Council,
  • ASB Community Trust
  • Funding Information Service
  • New Zealand Lottery
  • The Lion Foundation
  • Volunteering Auckland
  • The Charities Commission
  • Sky City Community Trust
  • Unitec (Diploma in Not-for-Profit Management)
  • The New Zealand Federation of Voluntary Welfare Organisation, which runs Tech Soup.

Northland meeting

Time: 1pm-3.30pm

On Saturday September 3, the Trust will hold its Northland public meeting at Dargaville’s Oturei Marae, on Oturei Settlement Road, starting with a powhiri at 1.00pm.
Trustees and staff will explain the Trust’s work, its annual results, plans for the future and funding priorities.

Application workshop

At the Dargaville meeting staff will outline what areas the Trust’s grants cover and then run an application workshop where our grants advisors will work one-on-one with potential applicants.
Trustees and senior staff will also be available to talk informally with community group representatives after the meeting, offering visitors the opportunity to share their plans and visions for the future.
